Path Insurance

My name is Tyler Curley. I own Path Insurance Solutions in Redmond, Washington. Our agency has been around for 10 years. We are an insurance broker and we mostly focus on working with real estate investors, and that's our main reason for using Steadily.

The current insurance environment — a lot of our standard carriers, the Travelers, the Safegos, Allstate — those type of companies are limiting access for agents outside of the state. They're giving us binding restrictions in certain states to write business, and Steadily has become a partner we can trust. It's a nice partner for us.

Ohio has a lot of properties that are older. Some companies aren't liking those properties even though they've been updated. So as long as the property's updated and in good shape, we can go to Steadily and write that business. A lot of our investors are renovating properties once they take ownership. We can go to Steadily with that updated house and they're taking it because it's a good risk.

The affordability — for an investor — you can provide them quotes at a relatively quick pace. It's easier to get a quote through Steadily than it is our other carriers. Is the time to quote reasonable? Yes. Is the service after you write the policy less work than other carriers? Yes. Is the communication coming back from Steadily in regards to underwriting issues relatively quick? It checks a lot of the boxes.

I was searching for a company I could partner with that would help me with rental properties and investors across the US, and they fit into that nicely. You need to have a partner that's willing to write business — they're doing that.
